A Place to Sleep and Eat...
The first funds, much of which were donated by religious organizations from Ireland and Wales, were raised to help build an orphanage that opened in July 2000. After more than two years of additional fundraising, the Maranathan Kenya Trust (“MKT”) House, a kitchen and dining hall named after the charitable trust created for the purpose of assisting VISPA in its work, was constructed and officially opened on October 20, 2004. The money for MKT House was donated exclusively by supporters from Northern Ireland.
